著者：川越厚（かわごえ こう）
在宅ホスピス医療のパイオニア。
1947年、山口県生まれ。東京大学医学部卒業。茨城県立中央病院産婦人科医長、東京大学講師、白十字診療所在宅ホスピス部長、賛育会病院院長を経て、2000年、在宅ケア支援グループ・パリアン設立。同代表を経て2021年から在宅ホスピス研究所パリアン（北杜市）代表。森の診療所医師。
『家で死にたい』（保健同人社）、『がん患者の在宅ホスピスケア』（医学書院）、『ひとり、家で穏やかに死ぬ方法』（主婦と生活社）など著書多数。
訳者：ロバート・キエサ
イエズス会のカトリック司祭。1936年、アメリカ合衆国サンフランシスコ生まれ。1953年にイエズス会に入会し、1960年に来日。上智大学、栄光学園、広島学院、上智福岡中学・高等学校で教鞭を執る。
現在は、イエズス会日本管区の東京本部で書記を務めるとともに、東京・麹町（聖イグナチオ教会）で司牧活動に従事している。
『イエズス会の規範となる学習体系（1599年版）羅和対訳』（教文館）の訳・解説など。
